"Lal is requesting prayer for her mother-in-law , who is not keeping well these days.
Her mother- in-law was recently in the hospital and will be going through further tests  in the near future.
Also keep her husband, Madan in your prayers and he is going through a lot with this situation right now."

Prayer Request from Linda Birk

Linda sent this in today: 

"I'd appreciate prayer for the deliberation process currently being carried out by access-a-bus as regards a new ruling which would prohibit service to Ivany Place (my place of residence) on the weekends.  They have ruled that starting in September there will be no service for us based on the fact that the #89 bus will not run on Sunday. The access-a-bus only runs when and where the city busses run.  I have one more reservation for Aug. 28 and no guarantee for any more weekend bus service after that. Without the access-a-bus I cannot afford to attend.  Without being able to get to church I am a virtual shut in. It is very important to me to attend church at Rock and my spiritual life is vital in my life. I believe in prayers of agreement, please pray with me for the outcome of this deliberation and that the enemy will not hinder my spiritual growth in this way."

Let's agree with Linda in prayer that she will be able to continue to attend on Sundays.

Prayer for Darlene C.

Gary and Josie Harker are requesting prayer for their niece, Darlene. She has cancer and is not expected to live. She was rushed to the hospital on Saturday. Please pray for Darlene and her family, as well as Gary and Josie.

Karl Williams Journey

A few posts ago, we introduced you to Karl, a gentleman that has recently been attending Rock. he has been diagnosed with throat cancer and at the present time he is undergoing a 35 day radiation regimen. We received this from Karl this week...

Hi ...just an update. I started getting a sore throat 2 nights ago. They have given me a prescription for it. So I guess the storm begins, Count it all Joy. I'm requesting that prayers be sent out. I'm not sure what's going to happen next or if this is going to get worse. Maybe I'll get a voice like "Barry White" nice and deep. Lol. No more hard foods just moist foods and to continue to drink water. Keep me in your prayers. Thank you! God bless!:-)

Hennie A in Hospital and Very Sick

An update on Hennie Arkell, who has been in hospital the past few days. She has been very sick with salmonella poisoning and is very weak. Please keep her in prayer as she recovers.

Pat Upcoming Eye Surgery

Pat Robichaud is having surgery on her eye on Thursday, August 28th and would be grateful for prayer in this regard. 

Prayer, Praise, People Updates

Hope L. came through knee replacement surgery on Friday afternoon and is recovering in Dartmouth General. Lyman sent this report this morning: 

"Mom just had her breakfast and a bit of coffee. She's on the mend." Please keep her in prayer for a complete recovery! 

Hennie A. was taken to hospital last week as a result of a bug she came down with.  She has been very weak, unable to eat at all this past week. The doctor is working to bring balance to her electrolytes and she remains in QE2 to recover.  Prayer appreciated! 

Doug and Connie V. are home following the funeral for Doug's dad.  Please keep Doug and his family in prayer during this difficult time. 

Helen and Doug M. continue to appreciate prayer and visits in Helen's new home at Melville Heights in Spryfield.
