Prayer for Trudy Rideout's brother, Corey

Trudy has asked the church family to pray for her brother Corey who was diagnosed with Leukemia 4 months ago. He has been receiving intensive treatments, and while the cancer is responding, his blood counts remain very low. He has another 7 days of chemo to go leading up to a bone marrow transplant on Aug. 31st. He is a Christian, just 45, and has a wife and two children who live in Edmonton, but he will have to be in hospital in Calgary for 3 months, which is an added burden. He is understandably concerned about the procedure, distance from family, his blood counts and the side effects that the doctors have described. This is a family that needs our prayer support in this difficult time.

Prayer for a friend of Ricky Choi's

Ricky Choi is asking that we pray for his friend Anne T. who is ill.  She and her husband recently moved to the US and are looking for a doctor to treat her.  Ricky says they don't have a faith but we would like to stand with Ricky to pray for their friends healing and that they are able to find good care.

Passing of Cathy Wilson's brother-in-law

Heartfelt condolences go out to Cathy Wilson on the passing of her brother in law Alan Arsenault of Summerside, PEI.

Cathy shared with us that this time last year he suffered a brain bleed where he was not expected to make it through the night. But praise God he did because of prayer.  But two weeks later they discovered cancer in his lungs and bladder. He has come through a long winter of chemo and surgeries. He was able to walk (with a cane) into his daughters graduation ceremony from UPEI this May!

Yesterday, he suffered a severe heart attack and was placed in palliative care.  Alan passed away this afternoon.  Please pray for his wife Donna and their only child Denise for God's perfect peace.  Cathy writes that we are all thankful for the extra year Alan was given.
