Urgent Prayer Needed

Rachel Thompson is asking for urgent prayer for her cousin who has been airlifted to St. John, NB.   She is requiring urgent medical care.  The Doctors are not hopeful - we need our Great Physician to answer our prayers.

Prayers needed

Received a call from Karen White.  She is asking that our prayer warriors pray for her friend's mother.  She has been recently diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer.

David Cherry's sister was diagnosed with cancer.  Her condition is serious.  We've been asked to hold her and her family up in prayer.

Our condolence go out to Art Murphy and his family on the passing of his father, Wes Murphy.  The funeral will be next week in Grande Prairie, Alberta.  Pray for the peace of God to be with his family during this time.

Dorothy Adams

Dorothy Adams had surgery yesterday to correct some issues that arose from her hip replacement last year.  She is currently at the QEII on the 8th floor.  Please stand in prayer for her that the surgery will be successful and that she can move forward in strength and health.

Update - Willard Larkin

Received an email from Kim Young giving us an update on her Father Willard Larkin.  

She writes   "my dads surgery went very well, no surprises when they opened him up, things went exactly as planned, no colostomy needed and no sign of the cancer having spread.  The results of the lymph node tests will be back in 4-6 weeks.  Still waiting to see him so not sure how he's doing yet.  Please pass this news on as my dad has many friends at Rock who have been praying for him"

Thank you for the update Kim - we will continue to pray for his recovery.

John Den Hollander's wife, Phyllis, was laid off today at work.  They both appreciate your prayers that Phyllis will find another job quickly.

Prayer Requests

It is with sadness that we inform our church body that Stanley Adamski passed away peacefully early this morning at the age of 88 years old.  Please keep John, Peter and their extended family in your prayers over the coming days.  

As funeral arrangements come available we will let you know.

Please pray for Jeannie Williams as she travels to Cape Breton this weekend to be with her sister whose daughter passed away after a short illness.    Jeannie has just returned from Cambodia from her missions trip - so is recovering from jetlag.    Pray for Jeannie's sister who is a strong woman of faith but of course this is a hard situation to have lost a daughter.  

Pray for Hilda Miller as she recovers from hip replacement surgery.  We are believing for complete recovery so she can use those new runners she purchased.  

Praise and Prayer Reports

Congratulations to Justin and Diana Hillier and big brother, Jonah, on the birth of Isaiah James. Isaiah was born on April 24th, 3 weeks early, weighing 6 lbs 2 oz.  Mom and baby are home and doing well.

Congratulations to Dan and Sherisse Doucette and big sister, Willow, on the birth of Sage Elizabeth. Sage decided to make her entrance a month early on April 29th.  She weighed in at 6 lbs 6 oz. Mom and baby will be home in the next few days.

Please pray for Willard Larkin, Kim Young's father.  A tumor has been discovered in his bowel and the family is waiting on reports of that.  Willard will have surgery soon so please keep him and the family in your prayers.  We are believing for complete healing in his body.
