Hope Langille

Hope Langille is heading into surgery today for a  knee replacement.  Pray that all goes smoothly and that her recovery will go well.  She is at the Darmouth General Hospital and her surgery time is sometime between 12-2pm today.

August 13th - Prayer needed

Nancy Hynes and Janet Draper have a longtime friend and her family in New Hampshire that have been dear friends for over 30 years. We have been witnessing our love of Christ to them for a long time.  Today we found out that our friends brother Mike was in a bad motorcycle accident. He is in hospital in Virginia, this will mean that Marye (his mother) and Sue (his sister)will have to travel down separately from New Hampshire to be with him due to responsibilities at home.  So far the damage all seems to be in broken bones and abrasions praise the Lord. No internal injuries or head injury.  But the damage to his leg is extensive and he will require many weeks and months of healing and rehab. 

Please pray for healing and peace for Mike, that the Lord will comfort him and his wife.  Pray for travelling mercies for his mom and sister, especially his mom as she is not young and is very concerned about her son and she has some health issues as well.  Pray most especially that this family will be drawn in their time of need to the Lord Jesus.  Janet and I will be with this family in 2 weeks so we will be able to continue praying and supporting them in their home. Pray for us that we will have words of comfort and wisdom and that God will use us as witnesses of his love and care for us.

Karl - a new family member here requesting prayer.

Recently Karl began attending services at Rock. Pastor Russ was introduced to him at the front of the church after a service. Karl shared that he had recently been diagnosed with throat cancer. 

Karl has started radiation treatments this week for the next 7 weeks (35 treatments) which will be followed by chemotherapy. He requests prayer and would love to receive encouragement by email from anyone who feel so led.  He can be emailed at mailto:karl8555@gmail.com 

He is very loyal to the Lord and his favourite hockey team. He said,

"God's a Montreal Canadiens fan!"

Prayer for Jane Corbin and a co-worker of Laurie's

Many of you know that Jane has been struggling with lower back and leg pain. Today she sent a note stating that the pain is originating from 2 herniated discs in her lower back. The largest one has bone growing out from the spine pressing on the sciatic nerves on both sides - thus the pain! While she awaits an appointment with a surgeon, would you join us in blessing her body in full health.

Laurie has a co-worker whose wife just found out that she has cancer in her bowel and liver as well as some other organs. As far as we know, neither of these precious ones have a personal relationship with the Lord, so we are asking you to join us in praying for them - that Father God would manifest His healing to Angie and that they would receive Christ as Saviour.

Leslie Hibbs who now lives in Alberta has been recently diagnosed with bowel cancer.  Tentative date for surgery August 24th.  His wife, Christine also is experiencing health issues.  Please pray for quick recovery, good report and ongoing strength with the Peace of God.
